Brunswick, Mo. GE-18Ft-EMI, Military Electronics Shelter. Exterior Dimensions, 8' X 8' X 19'8". Weight, slightly less than 12,000 pounds. This unit was used by the US military for a relatively short period of time (1996 - 1999) and I don't believe it was ever deployed. We have removed the electronic components which were housed within the unit and it is essentially, now, an EMI enclosure. What remains could be converted to a mobile lab which could be deployed to the far corners of the earth with the proper retrofit. What is left is: The EMI enclosure, which is constructed of aluminum and composits for lightness. The shell is roughly 12 Ga. Aluminum sheet which covers a 4" thick filled honeycomb composit and the inner wall is @3/8" aluminum plate. The interior is equipped with an aluminum computer floor and breaker panels, lighting and outlets still remain. The unit was wired for 120/208, 3 Phase power, which can be connected from an external power unit through a panel on the front of the unit. There are HVAC connections the rear of the unit. The generators and HVAC units are not included. The unit can be fork lifted or crane loaded on to a transport vehicle.
There is damage to this unit also, consisting of two small holes punched into one side of it (visible in the photos), and one hole in the other side. These will require the attention of a sheet metal mechanic if the integrity of the unit can not be compromised.
There are many more details to this unit and interested partys can recieve details and pictures by e-mail, upon request.
This item will have to be transported by flatbed truck and their will be a fee of $1000.00 to load it.
